The Sharkie
This contest brings skippers together while traveling south for the Bahia Corinthian Invitational race the following day. The contest usually starts at one of the oil islands inside Long Beach Harbor and travels south along the coast to the Newport Harbor entrance. The ride is usually very comfortable and the upbeat spirits of the skippers is apparent from the radio communications enroute.
